President and Founder
Miriam W. Rheinstein is the Founder and President of Intercultural Friends Foundation (IFF). A lifelong educator and teacher, she has over 40 years of experience working with young people and developing educational programs.
Miriam has worked with foreign exchange student programs since 1989 when she retired from the Prince George’s County Maryland Public Schools after more than 20 years as a resource teacher and administrator. Over the past two decades, she has successfully overseen the placement and administration of hundreds of groups of foreign exchange students across the United States with thousands of students from all over the world.

Since that time, Miriam has made IFF into a recognized provider of homestay programs for international youth, delivering a high-level of service to students and their families at an affordable cost.
Miriam holds an undergraduate degree in world history from the University of Illinois and graduate degrees in education and business from San Francisco State University and the Johns Hopkins University. She has previously served as a management consultant and instructor teaching organizational and management skills to business leaders and employees in the corporate environment.
She and her husband reside in Severna Park, Maryland, where they have lived for nearly 40 years.
