The IFF Student Guarantee
As an IFF student or parent, you can expect the best in terms of level of service. IFF is dedicated to ensuring that all of our programs and procedures meet or exceed regulations and guidelines for foreign student exchange organizations set forth by the U.S. Department of State, relevant state agencies, the Council on Standards for International Education Travel (CSIET), and other organizations. Our students are given detailed information about the IFF Program Rules and Program Agreement as part of their application process, and each student and his/her parents are required to certify acceptance of these rules before admission to our programs.
Every IFF student is provided complete travel insurance with medical coverage for the duration of their program. Our students can also rest assured of being placed in a safe environment. IFF carefully screens every host family to ensure the safety and welfare of our students. No host family is accepted without an in-home interview by a well-trained IFF coordinator and a national criminal background check on every adult that will have regular contact with the student during their visit.
What else to expect from IFF?
In addition, IFF provides a high-level of attention and support to each of our students before, during and after their program:
Before the IFF Program
- IFF provides information on the host family that has been matched with the student so the student and their host family can develop a relationship ahead of time.
- Students can take advantage of the IFF website, Facebook page and Group page to communicate with other current and former IFF students and other members of the IFF family.
- Students will receive detailed information about their host community and the itinerary for their specific program, so they know exactly what to expect ahead of time.
- Support for obtaining a tourist visa or any necessary travel authorization (See our visa page for more information)
During the IFF Program
- Supervision by a highly-trained and dedicated IFF local coordinator from the host community
- 24-hour, 7-day-a-week support from the IFF home office
- Highly-organized and planned activities and excursions (applicable programs only)
- Structured English-language classes (ESL programs only)
- Dedicated program website to share information about the program (applicable programs only)
After the IFF Program
- A managed forum for maintaining contact and sharing photos and other memories with new friends from the IFF program.
